This Extremes Arctic Lined Coat is made from a 1000-denier heavyweight CORDURA nylon shell with a quilted nylon lining and an arctic weight polyester insulation for extra warmth. This style features Rain Defender technology as well as Wind Fighter technology to repel water and wind.

This item also includes a spread collar with hidden snaps for an optional hood, a full-zip front and storm flap, and a peated bi-swing back to provide a wide range of motion. Additional feature include internal rib-knit storm cuffs, an interior drawcord adjustable waist, two chest pockets, two inner pockets, and two lower-front pockets.

This is a great compliment to the Paxton Hooded ZIP Mock Pullover. Sometimes I need a Neck Gaiter on the cold South Dakota plains, but that's to keep even more snow out. Combo this C55 with a DECENT base layer and the Paxton & you will be burning up.

I work in the oil and gas industry which takes me all over the world, i purchased this jacket and the acrtic bibs to go with them in light of a hitch in North Dakota through January. With the temps reaching -20 farenheit I never found a time when i wasn't warm and comfortable. I would recommend this gear to anyone who is going to be working or just spending anytime outside in extreme cold conditions

I've had my Carhartt Extreme for years... My coat has been the greatest tool of my trade since day one. I will never buy another coat unless its an Extreme. I work on the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay, AK and up there you need grade A gear and not "knock-off" stuff you buy at Walmart... These jackets are the real deal. If I can stay warm at temperatures reaching well below -60 during 10-12 hour days outside, I'll assure you it'll keep you warm anywhere. It's great when it comes to cold, wet environments.
